Hello! Welcome to the world of me. You may have noticed there's not much here -- that's because I mostly live my Web life on Ravelry, and everything I can't put there goes on my blog (lindy7shoes.blogspot.com) or Facebook (ugh). However, you can find me lurking and occasionally (frequently?) posting on the following communities (and apologies for the lack of magic linkage):

My interests:

Back in the day (middle/high school) I was really into anime. These days, I still enjoy it, but I'm a physicist now and don't really have time or money to find new things to watch. My favorites are still Inuyasha, Card Captor Sakura, Evangelion, and Miyazaki movies. There is also a special spot in my heart for Excel Saga :} My fanfiction and fanart can be found at http://www.fanfiction.net/~ladymac and http://ladymac.deviantart.com, respectively.

I also love science fiction (particularly Star Trek: Voyager), action movies, chick flicks, musicals, and medical dramas (HOUSE!!!).

Musical interests run the gamut from classical to jazz to pop and rock to techno. Basically the only music I don't like is rap and inaccessible indie stuff. Yes, I sometimes just need to put on the country station. What're you gonna do about it??

Also: YARN!! I am an avid knitter and sometimes dabble in crochet, mostly amigurumi. If you're on Ravelry, send me a PM and I'll be your friend!! (same username) I love cables and lace and fancy fibers like bamboo. I LUST for qiviut and my bank account lusts for a salary.

IRL, I am currently a senior in college, pursuing a BA in Physics and a certificate in teaching. After I graduate, I intend to be a high school science teacher. I also swing dance at least once a week! Lindy is my drug of choice. Lindy and character shoes and circle skirts! Also tea! I love tea.
